Issued from the General Company of electrotechnical ceramics, the company of advanced ceramics has been part of the ALCOA group, US Filter, and VIVENDI.

VIVENDI decided in 2000 to sell the company. It became a private owned company in march 2001, through a Management Buy Out.

Today the development of SCT's know-how reinforces its leading position in ceramic-to-metal technologies with more than 30 years of experience in customized ceramics field.

Since 2008, SCT has started the manufacturing of brazed hermetic feedthroughs for implantable medical devices, with the objectif to become the European leader for hermetic feedthroughs and a main actor for the global market. This new Business Unit, with completly dedicated equipment, alows SCT to keep a major position as a supplier for other micro-components for medical devices.
